After participating in Caretta Research Project’s life-changing EcoVacation : a week-long program that allows volunteers to work beside researchers in collecting data and making a true impact on sea turtle conservation, Mallory became a devoted supporter. The CRP will forever be one of her top recommended NPO’s to support. With only two full-time staff, this organization is the true representation of a passionate, self-sacrificing grassroots non-profit.

Every year Mallory creates impact campaigns through social media takeovers to help bring awareness to CRP’s mission, raise funds for needed items, and/or connect their virtual community to the amazing research they are doing on the island.

Campaigns included:

  • Awareness/Promotion Campaign: Mallory provided a virtual experience of the Eco vacation for CRP’s social media community through daily updates and entertaining stories.

  • Education Campaign: During a week-long takeover on the island, Mallory provided educational quizzes; informative researcher interviews; and short, engaging explainer videos to highlight the amazing work of CRP while providing the ‘how/why’ of what they do.

  • Fundraising Campaign: In 2019, Georgia was in the midst of a record-breaking nesting season. Funds were needed for more nest protectors, so the CRP and Mallory joined forces to create a campaign that would benefit the CRP & sea turtle enthusiasts everywhere. Together, they were able to raise funds for 179 reusable nest protectors during a week-long takeover while on the island.

In exchange for sponsoring a nest protector, sponsors received the coordinates to their designated nest to view on Google Earth and access to the sea turtle nesting database to check their nest’s hatching success ( 72 days later). Many opted to ‘gift’ these sponsorships to teachers and youth programs through Ms. Mallory Adventures’ social platform, further spreading the message of sea turtle conservation through STEM education.
